President Trump and his 2024 running mate, J.D. Vance, spoke with Fox News host Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Primetime” to discuss how the administration is addressing the flow of drugs from the southern border and Drug cartels Mass produce.

“Are you still considering attacking Mexico and the cartels?” Watters asked.

“Exactly,” Trump responded. “Mexico needs to get it right immediately, or the answer is absolutely: Mexico is killing 300,000 people a year because of fentanyl.”

“In China, they have the death penalty for drug dealers and stuff, and I said, these are drug dealers. They agreed with me. He agreed with me. Death penalty for drug dealers, death penalty for anyone who brings fentanyl into our country,” the 2024 Republican candidate told Watters. “That would have made a big difference.”

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen He told Fox News host Neil Cavuto on “Your World” in June that fentanyl and other synthetic opioids have killed more than 1 million people since 2000.

She said fentanyl and overdose deaths are a “human tragedy” and that addressing the crisis is a “top priority” for the Biden administration and other government agencies.

President Trump said he would give Mexico a short period of time to “secure the border.”

“They’re not going to fare well. And then the action begins. And you know what’s going to happen? A lot of people are going to survive. They’re going to kill 300,000 to 350,000 people. I don’t want to say 100,000 or 90,000, I want to say 100,000. That’s a lot. Two Yankee Stadiums. Do you understand? They’re going to kill 300,000 people, maybe more, and destroy families,” he continued.

“Even if there is no death, They are destroying familiesFamilies are devastated and broken.”

Vance said that if fentanyl had crossed the border 20 years ago, his mother, Beverly, who was struggling with drug addiction, would not have survived.

“I don’t think my mother would have been here,” he told Watters. “She’s a wonderful grandmother to her three grandchildren and it makes me so happy to see her happy and healthy… But a lot of families aren’t getting a second chance because of Biden’s toxicity. Allow entry right now.”

Vance argued that the Mexican government wants Trump to take action against drug cartels because they destabilize the Mexican state and bring in billions of dollars in profits.

“They’re not going to be a real country anymore,” Vance said. “If we don’t get this under control, they’re going to become a narco-state.”
