College campuses may be known for being overwhelmingly “woke” these days, but Ole Miss students are proving that stereotype doesn’t hold true in the South.
As pro-Hamas protesters occupied the campus, young Trump supporters decided to fight back with patriotism.
A video currently circulating online shows a crowd of at least 100 students singing the national anthem across from angry pro-Palestinian protesters. “We want Trump,” was the chant.
“I don’t want to give props to Ole Miss, but I kind of want to give props to Ole Miss.” Sarah Gonzalez Say.
But Ole Miss wasn’t the only team to rise up.
Fraternity brothers at the University of Alabama took it upon themselves to drown out the cries of pro-Palestinian protesters by chanting, “Take a shower!”
“Who would have imagined that Chadians are now like rebels? So fraternity people are now a counterculture to the mainstream,” says Sarah’s husband Stephen.
“I’ve seen people say don’t send your kids north, don’t send them south. I totally accept that,” he continued, adding, “God bless the kids who stand up. I know it probably won’t be easy.
