Trump Supports Giants' Jaxson Dart Following Criticism for Rally Attendance

Trump Supports Quarterback Amid Controversy

President Trump has come forward to back New York Giants quarterback Jackson Dart, who faced backlash from some leftist commentators for appearing at a rally introducing the president.

Dart was present at Trump’s event in Suffern, New York, on May 22nd, and was immediately criticized online. One of his teammates, Abdul Carter, expressed his shock, suggesting that Dart’s presence seemed more like a creation of artificial intelligence than reality.

In response to the criticism, Trump defended Dart during an interview with Lara Trump. “When Jackson gets harassed a little bit, he becomes more loved,” he stated, emphasizing that they have more supporters compared to their detractors.

Trump mentioned that even in wealthy areas like Los Angeles, people often express their support for him privately, saying, “Sir, I voted for you.” He reflected on the irony of those who criticize him on television reportedly being his voters.

Having met Dart for the first time at a rally, Trump jokingly remarked from the stage that Dart looked like a “male model,” complimenting his appearance and stating, “I wish I looked like Mr. Jackson.” He referred to Dart as a conservative who genuinely supports his values.

However, this public appearance drew significant criticism, prompting Dart to feel compelled to address his team about the situation. While the details of what he said remain unclear, it reportedly smoothed over any tensions, as Carter later described Dart as a good person after talking with him.

At the same rally, Dart welcomed Trump to the stage, rallying the crowd with a cheer for “Big Blue Nation.” Trump praised Dart, calling him a “future Hall of Famer” and acknowledging his talent.
