Trump Supports New Jersey Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Jack Ciattarelli

President Donald Trump has endorsed Jack Ciattarelli, the Republican candidate aiming for the New Jersey governorship, calling him a “first in a great America” candidate.

In a post on True Social, Trump expressed his “complete and total approval” for Ciattarelli’s campaign for governor. He highlighted Ciattarelli’s strong backing from respected state leaders and noted his commitment to economic growth, tax reduction, border security, and Second Amendment rights.

“Jack Ciattarelli is the winner and has my full support. He won’t let you down,” Trump stated. “Let’s make America great again by electing Jack Ciattarelli!”

Trump further praised Ciattarelli, calling him the “first great American candidate” seeking the governorship of New Jersey. He noted that after understanding the “MAGA” movement, Ciattarelli is now fully dedicated to the cause.

“He has strong support from New Jersey’s most respected leaders,” Trump continued. “As your next governor, Jack will collaborate closely with me and the Trump administration. He will fight tirelessly for veterans, economic growth, tax and regulation cuts, and secure our borders.”

Trump’s message also emphasized that while he was president, certain aggressive actions against illegal immigration did not occur.

Trump’s post included additional remarks, stating that Jack is well-positioned to counter radical left Democrats and that he represents the best opportunity for victory in this crucial gubernatorial election.

Following Trump’s endorsement, Ciattarelli said he felt “humbled and honored” to receive such strong support.

“I am truly humbled and grateful for President Trump’s strong endorsement today,” he wrote in a post on X. “We will unite our party, achieve a significant victory in November, and create a safe and affordable New Jersey.”

Previously, Ciattarelli attempted to secure the governorship in 2017 and 2021.

In November 2021, he faced off against Governor Phil Murphy (D-NJ) in the gubernatorial race, ultimately losing with Murphy capturing 51.2% of the votes compared to Ciattarelli’s 48%.

Democrats such as Newark’s Mayor Ras Baraka, Representative Josh Gottheimer, and Jersey City’s Mayor Steve Fulop are also running for the governor’s office, as per New Jersey Globe. For the Republicans, Ciattarelli is up against conservative radio host Bill Spadea and New Jersey Senator Jon Bramnick (R).
