President Trump spoke to Attorney General Pam Bondy on Saturday night, shortly after FBI Director Kash Patel dismissed rumors of his potential resignation amid rising tensions over the Justice Department’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite reports of instability and calls for Bondy’s resignation, Trump expressed his support for her work. He urged Americans not to waste Epstein’s “time and energy.”
“What’s up with my ‘boy’ and some ‘gal’? They’re all fixated on Attorney General Pam Bondy, who’s doing a fantastic job!” Trump commented, as he shared thoughts on social media.
“We’re a team, MAGA. I don’t like what went down. We have perfect management but there are ‘selfish people’ trying to disrupt it,” he continued.
“Let’s support Pam Bondi. She’s incredible! Just a year ago, our country felt dead. Now it’s the hottest place in the world. Don’t waste Jeffrey Epstein’s time and energy.”
Trump’s comments came after reports of a heated confrontation between FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Bondy at the White House earlier that week.
This tension arose following a Justice Department review of Epstein’s case which reportedly uncovered significant evidence regarding his death and a so-called “client list” that personnel claim is no longer accessible.
Bongino has long suspected that the Epstein case might hold more evidence than what government officials acknowledged. He even took a personal day to contemplate resigning just months into his job, according to a source familiar with the situation.
Sources also indicated that the relationship between Bongino and Bondy might be irreparable, cautioning that if he steps down, Patel could follow suit.
However, Patel took to social media to debunk the “conspiracy theories” about his resignation.
“The conspiracy theory is false, and it was never the case,” Patel stated on X. “It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States. As long as he calls me, I’ll keep doing it.”
The internal conflicts arose after the Justice Department wrapped up its investigation into the conditions surrounding Epstein’s death in August 2019, weeks after he faced numerous charges involving young girls.
The findings seem to validate Bondy’s previous comments about reviewing the infamous “client list” in February.
She also mentioned that the FBI’s New York Field Office possesses thousands of pages related to Epstein’s investigation and prosecution.
Yet, Bondy’s department released a two-page memorandum stating that a “systematic review” concluded that the 66-year-old Epstine died by suicide after having “over 1,000 victims.” The memo asserted that there was no evidence of a “client list” related to criminal activity.
“Additionally, there’s no credible evidence that Epstein threatened any notable individual in connection with his actions,” read the memo. “We haven’t disclosed any evidence that could lead to an investigation of a third party that hasn’t already been examined.”
