Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden by six points in the battleground state of Wisconsin, according to an AARP/Fabrizio Ward/Impact Research poll.
The poll, conducted after Biden’s disastrous debate defeat in late June and released Tuesday, found that 44% of voters surveyed in Wisconsin support Trump in a five-way race, while 38% support Biden.
Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. came in third with 9 percent support, followed by Jill Stein of the Green Party with 3 percent and Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party with 1 percent. Five percent of respondents were undecided.
Trump leads Biden among independents, 36% to 31%, but 24% of this group are split on their support for a third-party candidate.
