Trump said after the call Trudeau's efforts to crack down on the flow of fentanyl across the Canadian-US border were not “sufficient” to prey on his tariffs. He also explained that the phone ends in a “somewhat” friendly way.

“Believe it or not, I think Justin Trudeau is using the tariff issues he mostly caused to run again for the Prime Minister, despite the horrifying work he did in Canada.” “It's so much fun to watch!”

The decision, after Commerce Director Howard Lutnick told CNBC, said, “My expectations will come today to an agreement that USMCA compliant products will not have tariffs for next month until April 2nd.”

Trudeau said Lutonic's comments “along with some of the conversations we had with the administration, but we're going to wait for an official agreement to discuss Canada's reaction and look into the details.”
