Trump’s Stark Warning Amid Iranian Threats
After the death of former Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Donald Trump has issued a strong message, cautioning that if Iran’s regime were to target him, they would face significant retaliation. Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader, has vowed revenge, ramping up tensions further.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat to assassinate the sitting President of the United States, which is me!” He added that the U.S. military is ready to act decisively if needed, with orders prepared to significantly impact Iran.
Earlier, he shared with the New York Post his directives for military action against Iran if they pursued plans to harm him. He reiterated during a recent NATO summit that he has been identified as a target, which has heightened his concerns about his safety.
“They want to take out the U.S. leader, me,” he noted to reporters, acknowledging that he finds himself frequently on their lists of targets. He expressed a sense of fortunate survival thus far, but recognized that could change quickly.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere surrounding the funeral for Ali Khamenei has been unsettling, with several displays explicitly calling for Trump’s death. Banners depicted bullets and included messages like “Kill Trump” and “There will be blood.”
Reports have surfaced suggesting that Israeli intelligence has flagged a potential Iranian plot to kill Trump, a claim he downplayed, asserting that he has long been a target of the Iranian regime.
The tension between Trump and Iran traces back to his first term, notably when he ordered the operation that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
In a recent post, Mojtaba Khamenei proclaimed that his nation is determined to take vengeance for his father’s death, using social media to express his sentiments.
“We pledge to avenge your pure blood,” he wrote, emphasizing the demand for action against those responsible for this act, stating that justice must be served.
He continued, warning that those who orchestrated the former leader’s death will not escape the consequences, as their actions will haunt them.
