President Donald Trump will use a newly announced app from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to seek “swearing in self-swap” from illegal immigrants from the US, Axios reported Monday.
Trump will send a message this week on a set of videos to be released on social media platforms, calling on illegal immigrants to use the CBP Home app to announce their departure from the country. DHS announced the app earlier this month after removing one Biden-era CBP app.
“People in our country can self-sell in an easy way, or they can be deported in the difficult way. That's not comfortable,” Trump said in the video.
“The Biden administration has used one CBP app to enable over a million aliens to enter the United States illegally. Now, my administration is launching the CBP Home app, giving people in our country an easy way to leave illegally now and voluntarily self-report,” he continues.

“If that's the case, they have a chance to return legally and potentially at some point in the future, but if they don't take advantage of this opportunity they will be discovered. They will be deported and they will never be recognized by the US again,” Trump adds.

Trump further said using the CBP Home App is the “safeest option” for both illegal immigrants and law enforcement, in addition to allowing law enforcement to focus on arresting and deporting illegal immigrants convicted of violent crimes.
The CBP Home App allows illegal immigrants to “submit an intention to leave” and provide information about their intention to leave the United States.

The Trump administration has moved rapidly to expand deportation and reduce the number of immigrants entering the United States, including humanitarian parole, which has expanded dramatically under the Biden administration.
