“Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary is going all in on one of the front-runners to be former President Trump’s 2024 running mate.
During an interview on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” Mr. Wonderful gave an enthusiastic endorsement of North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, saying he would be a “great” choice for President Trump.
“I’ve been going to North Dakota State for years now and I’ve seen his execution and what he’s done for the state is incredible,” O’Leary said Saturday.
O’Leary said he met Burgum several years ago when he came to Fargo for a “Shark Tank” deal and the governor convinced him to start investing in North Dakota.

“It’s incredible what he’s done for our state,” he said. “Very few Americans realize that the wealthiest people in the country live in North Dakota. And Doug Burgum has done just that.”
He suggested that Burgum is the executive Trump needs. To execute his plan and be the “guy that gets it done.”
“I don’t think the other candidates have a proven skill set, so I’m unashamedly supporting someone I know to be a phenomenal leader in the business world.”
Trump has remained tight-lipped about who his potential Republican presidential nominee will be in 2024. In a recent interview with Fox News’ Aisha Husney from the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., Trump said he has a “pretty good idea” about who his running mate will be, but that the choice probably won’t be announced until the Republican National Convention in August.

The former president visited Washington last week to meet with Republican lawmakers and seek to unite the party ahead of its convention.
When asked if those he met with included his vice presidential candidate, Trump replied, “Probably. I don’t want to go there, but I think it will probably be announced during the convention.”
“We’ve had some great guys, some very talented guys.”
The tournament will be held in Milwaukee from July 15-18.

Several names are reportedly on Trump’s shortlist, including Burgum and Republican Senators J.D. Vance of Ohio and Marco Rubio of Florida, from whom the Trump campaign formally requested documents earlier this month as part of the vice presidential vetting process.
Also under consideration are Sens. Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Tim Scott of South Carolina, Reps. Byron Donald of Florida and Elise Stefanik of New York, and Ben Carson, a former neurosurgeon who served as secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Trump administration.

But Burgum is clearly the best choice for O’Leary.
“He’s pro-business, pro-growth, pro-innovation, pro-entrepreneur. That’s what you want in every state. This might seem crazy, but if you’re a Democrat listening to this right now, you want Doug Burgum as your vice president. He’s not partisan in any way when it comes to growing the American economy. He’s always going to work with both sides. That’s how you get things done.”
