Trump warns ABC News regarding coverage of Qatar jet.

President Trump is taking aim at ABC News regarding its coverage of a luxury jet he receives from Qatar, a matter that’s drawing criticism from both Congressional leaders as well as national security experts.

On Saturday, Trump posted on Truth Social, questioning why Disney’s CEO Bob Iger hasn’t taken action against what he calls “ABC fake news,” referring to the network he oversees.

He recalled a multi-million dollar settlement the network reached with him last year due to comments made by George Stephanopoulos, in which the anchor mistakenly suggested Trump had been convicted of sexual assault. ABC eventually retracted the comments and issued an apology.

“Now I see them working on it again, and I’ll give these Sleazebags a fair warning again,” Trump stated in his weekend post. “Qatar, a fantastic country, is greatly undervalued by misleading (fake!) news despite agreeing to invest over $1.4 trillion in the United States. No one, not even lawyers, should claim that Qatar has gifted me a free Boeing 747.”

He mentioned that his legal team no longer refers to the aircraft as “free” and has asked the network to address the issue directly.

During his second term, Trump has previously threatened multiple major news outlets over their reporting, urging his FCC to look into them and dismissing questions from reporters who claimed he wasn’t being fairly treated.
