Trump Was Correct About Migrant Gang Taking Control of Colorado Apartment Complex

Trump Acknowledges Statement on Colorado Gang Control

President Donald Trump recently conceded that he was correct last year when he warned about gang influence over an apartment complex in Colorado.

This revelation emerged in August 2024, following a video that gained significant attention, showing armed men allegedly threatening residents in an Aurora, Colorado apartment.

The gang members were said to have coerced tenants into paying rent to them rather than to the property owners. Reports indicated that those who resisted faced threats of violence.

Ultimately, 14 gang members were arrested by authorities in the Denver suburbs for their intimidation tactics, although this resulted in the closure of the entire apartment complex, displacing many residents.

Not long after, Trump commented on the incident, drawing public attention during a debate with Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. He condemned the escalating gang control, stating:

I’m looking at the aurora lights in Colorado. They are taking over the town. They take over the building. They are moving forward violently. These are her and her people [President Joe] Biden entering our country, causing destruction. They are dangerous, committing serious crimes, and we must act swiftly to remove them.

Despite ongoing video evidence and police involvement, mainstream media dismissed Trump’s assertions, labeling them exaggerated or outright false. The New York Times spearheaded this narrative, suggesting that Trump’s claims were grounded in “false information” and characterized his comments as deeply misleading.

However, the tide seems to be turning. Recently, the same newspaper published a piece acknowledging the reality of gang issues in the area, titled, “Democrats denied that there is a gang issue in the city. The truth is complicated.”

This article highlighted that violence from Venezuelan immigrants has surged in Aurora, with many locals expressing fear of gang activities.

Interestingly, the piece argued that misinformation had been primarily propagated by Democratic circles.

The New York Times described how as Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric intensified, so did the attempts by Democratic politicians to obscure the gang violence, ultimately causing more harm than good.

It’s a notable shift from their stance in 2024, as they now recognize that residents have witnessed violence firsthand but were previously ignored.
