President Trump shared on Saturday that could be the truth behind the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy, after ordering the release of thousands of files related to the government's investigation.
In an interview with Outkick founder Clay Travis, Trump dives into the theory surrounding JFK's 1963 assassination.
The president has long believed that 24-year-old assassin Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy but questioned whether he was working alone.
“I do. And I've always felt that, but of course he was saved?” Trump replied when asked if he believed Oswald was responsible.
Oswald denied allegations that he was an assassin multiple times, and famously stated that he was “just a Patsy” shortly before he was famously shot dead by nightclub owner Jack Ruby during the prisoner transfer at the Dallas Police Station.
The conspiracy theory surrounding the assassination of JFK and the suspicious murder of Oswald is actually out of control.
Many conspiracies are concentrated on those who were able to support Oswald, including the Soviet Union's KGB, the Cuban government, the mafia group, and even the CIA and the US government.
The Trump administration has dumped thousands of pages of documents related to the assassination investigation, including another wave containing details about the Oswald shooting.
However, experts continue to warn of putting too much value on new files, pointing out that it will be of little use to provide a deeper understanding of assassination in the public.
Trump is also disappointed with the document and leaves it to his readers to make his “resolution.”
“I don't think there's anything to crush the earth,” he said.
Much of the information contained in recent files has already been studied.
The documents point to the claims of CIA informant and former US Army captain John Garrett Underhill Jr., who is responsible for the assassination, “a small faction within the CIA is lique.”
Another bit discussed Oswald's visit to the Soviet Union. There, he was observed to be a very poor shot.
Similarly, Thomas Matthew Crooks, the assassin who tried to take Trump's life in July, was also said to have a bad purpose.
