Trump Will Be the GOP Nominee But How Much Donor $$ Will Be Wasted

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) on Tuesday evening questioned how much donations were wasted in the Republican primary, where former President Donald Trump is the sure candidate, following Trump's victory in New Hampshire. He said it remains unclear whether that will happen.

“Trump will be the Republican nominee,” Rubio, who formally endorsed Trump this month, told X.

“What we don't know yet is how much donations are going to go to waste over the next month,” he said, effectively calling out Nikki Haley, who has made it clear she has no intention of jumping out of the presidential race. He said with a sneer.

Rubio's comments followed Trump's decisive victory over Haley in the Granite State, despite relying on support from independents and Democrats.
