Trump Will Stand with Israel, Stop the Antisemitic Mobs

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) CEO Matt Brooks said Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention that Donald Trump will stand with Israel and stop anti-Semitic “mobs.”

Brooks spoke in a coveted prime-time slot at a time when Republicans have been eager to highlight Trump’s record of supporting Israel and his broader foreign policy successes, along with President Joe Biden’s failings in Israel and elsewhere.

“If you support Israel, cheer for me!” Brooks urged the delegates, who elicited loud cheers. “If someone did that at the Democratic Convention, they would be booed off the stage,” Brooks continued. “But here at the Republican Convention, we proudly and loudly support Israel.”

Republicans are hoping to capitalize on growing dissatisfaction within the Jewish community over Biden’s perceived lack of support for Israel in the fight against terrorism and his seeming tolerance of anti-Semitism on college campuses and in urban areas.

“This election is a critical moment for American Jewish community and for Israel. It is our chance to continue the great pro-Israel tradition of the most pro-Israel president in history, Donald J. Trump,” he said to cheers.

“They said [it] “He couldn’t do it. … He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. They said he couldn’t do it, but he weakened the Iranian regime. They said he couldn’t do it, but he delivered the historic Abraham Accords, bringing us closer to peace in the Middle East. Together with President Trump, we will repair and rebuild the U.S.-Israeli relationship that deteriorated over four disastrous years under President Biden.”

Brooks noted that Biden is still withholding some weapons from Israel, to which the crowd booed.

“There is only one pro-Israel party, and that is the Republican Party,” Brooks concluded.

“And here at home, under Donald Trump, we will put an end to the rise of anti-Semitism. President Trump will restore law and order, and American Jews will once again be able to live in America.” Kippa “And we’ll be able to walk the streets without fear. President Trump will stop mobs on college campuses and ensure Jewish students can attend class in safety.”

He also said President Trump would “stand up to Hamas supporters and the Squad,” referring to anti-Israel Democrats in Congress.

Am Yisrael Chai!” he concluded, holding up a slogan in Hebrew that translates to “The People of Israel Lives.”
