White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt has chosen to step down after welcoming her second child, though she will continue to serve as one of Donald Trump’s key outside advisers.
“Honestly, it’s not too surprising that she has another baby,” remarked Blaze TV Host Pat Gray during “Pat Gray Unleashed.” He commented further, stating, “When that maternal instinct kicks in, work seems to take a back seat. That’s pretty much what happened with her.”
President Trump is likely to feel her absence quite acutely.
In a message shared on Truth Social, he expressed: “Caroline Leavitt, our extraordinary White House press secretary and one of my most trusted aides, is resigning at the end of this month to dedicate more time to her lovely young kids and her family. I fully comprehend and respect her decision!”
Trump went on to mention, “Caroline will now be among my top outside advisors and will play a significant role within the Republican Party as we aim for a historic win in the midterm elections. She’s demonstrated strong leadership in the White House and has been remarkable in her advocacy for justice and freedom since 2018, including during her notable re-election campaign in 2024. I truly believe she ranks among the best press secretaries in the history of the office.”
Pat Gray also shared his thoughts, saying, “Not many can face the press like Caroline Leavitt does. She’s exceptional at it. Being young and intelligent, she seemed perfect for the job, and now she’s gone.”
However, Chris Crews has raised potential concerns. He mentioned, “There are talks that there was an incident aboard Marine One the other night, where Trump and she had a quite heated exchange.” Cruz explained this from a leaked video where she appeared somewhat isolated during a tense interaction with Trump and another woman, before leaving a few hours later.
“She didn’t seem very happy,” remarked executive producer Keith Marinak.
Jeff Fisher added, “Well, she misses her baby.”
