Departure of Taylor Budwich from White House

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and Personnel, Taylor Budwich, is set to leave the administration at the end of the month, as confirmed by Fox News.

Budwich’s departure signifies the exit of a key figure within President Trump’s administration. He has been a trusted advisor and communicator for Trump, making notable contributions to messaging and human resources decisions within the West Wing. After serving in the administration, Budwich is returning to the private sector.

In a statement from Senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller, Budwich is characterized as a devoted supporter of the MAGA movement, someone who has garnered wide respect. Miller remarked, “He is universally praised and respected.”

Vice President JD Vance praised Budwich as an invaluable asset and noted that he relied on him throughout the past year in office.

Vance continued, “His oversight of the White House communications team was successful, effectively promoting the significant achievements of President Trump’s second term.” He expressed that although Budwich has been somewhat overlooked, he believes something noteworthy lies ahead for him.

Susie Wiles’ Chief of Staff highlighted their personal connection, expressing sadness over Budwich’s departure while recognizing the high regard in which Trump holds him.

Longtime Trump aide Dan Scavino described him as a distinguished patriot and a committed friend, appreciating his contributions during the campaign and while in the White House.

Scavino added, “Taylor is the person you want by your side through challenges. I am grateful to him for his service and confident he will thrive in his future endeavors.” Budwich previously worked as Communications Director for Save America PAC and served as the Executive Director for a Pro-Trump Super PAC.

Having acted as a spokesperson throughout and after the 2020 campaign, Budwich also testified in the 2023 Classification Document Survey. In November 2024, Trump announced Budwich’s role as vice-chief of staff, which included overseeing communications strategy and personnel.

His departure contributes to ongoing speculation about who will fill this influential position in the West Wing as the Trump administration shapes its agenda for the remainder of the year.

Budwich has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding his departure.
