Trump’s GOP Approval Rating Is 99 Points Higher than McConnell’s

Republican President Donald Trump's approval rating is 99 points higher than Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), according to CNN analyst Harry Enten.

This difference underlines the decline in McConnell's power in the Senate.

Over the past few weeks, McConnell has worked with Democrats to vote against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., National Intelligence Director Tarcigabad, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegses. McConnell was the only Republican vote for most of the no votes, and failed to persuade or cause Trump candidates he deemed unqualified or “worthy.”

McConnell finds himself on the brink of strange political situations and perhaps political oblivion. As Trump leads the Republicans first and then away from McConnell's globalist ideology towards America, the senator aide moves around in a wheelchair to the Senate meeting where he no longer controls with his iron fist. I will vote against it.

As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee on Defense after Tenure as the longest Senate leader in American history, he holds some power in the Republican-controlled Senate, but as he once did, he voting for Trump. It's not enough to do it.

Enten Found Trump's approval rating among Republicans Tuesday was 99 points higher than McConnell, with a total of 42 points higher:

Donald Trump

  • Overall +3
  • Republican +82

Mitch McConnell

  • Overall -39
  • Republican-17

“If I didn't come with you, there wouldn't be a Republican party now,” Trump said of McConnell last week. “He sent the Republicans to hell.”

“He's not mentally equipped. In my opinion, he wasn't mentally equipped 10 years ago,” Trump said.

The effects of Octenarian appear to be diminished by his health. In February he went down the stairs outside his Senate room, where reporters saw him regain his footing. He also went on to the pattern of falling in December 2024, raising alarms, hurting wrists, and leaving bandages on his fingers and face.

Waterfalls were not the most concern. McConnell froze twice while talking to reporters. He was also treated for a concussion that occurred when he fell in a hotel in Washington, D.C.
