Trump’s ‘Great, Impressive Bill’ Receives House Support

Trump’s Tax and Spending Bill Advances in House

President Donald Trump’s comprehensive tax and spending bill overcame another obstacle early Thursday as the House approved it with a vote of 215-214-1.

This substantial tax package, valued at a trillion dollars, encompasses various components of Trump’s broad agenda, presented during the closing session.

Among its provisions, the bill aims to extend the tax cuts enacted in 2017, eliminate tip taxes, and increase funding for both defense and border security, while also addressing government healthcare programs.

The president has labeled his legislative proposal as a “big and beautiful bill.” Now officially termed “one big beautiful act of bill,” its swift passage has garnered quick praise.

“Failure is not an option… It would result in the largest $4 trillion tax increase in American history, especially when voters are already feeling the financial strain,” Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) commented recently regarding the bill’s approval.

“So we have to make this tax reform permanent,” he added.

The extensive 1,000-page legislation now moves to the Republican-majority Senate, where members are drafting their own version.
