Trump's health continues to be outstanding following October MRI, according to the White House

Trump’s Health Update: White House Assures Public

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt addressed concerns about President Donald Trump’s health during a press briefing on Wednesday. She emphasized that despite recent worries—such as Trump’s MRI scan in October—the president “remains in excellent health.”

Levitt explained that on October 10, Trump underwent advanced imaging tests at Walter Reed Medical Center as part of what was described as a routine medical checkup. All results were assessed by radiologists, who concurred that Trump’s health status is pretty exceptional.

This reassurance came after media inquiries regarding the specifics of the MRI, which was part of his examination at Walter Reed National Military Center in Maryland.

What the Medical Examination Revealed

Trump himself reassured reporters aboard Air Force One in October, stating, “I had an MRI scan and it was perfect.” He confidently mentioned that he had shared all the relevant results, emphasizing that everything was “perfect.”

The administration labeled the October checkup as routine, with Trump’s doctor affirming that the president was in “excellent health.”

Earlier in 2025, concerns about Trump’s health were heightened when, during a campaign event in July, his foot appeared swollen. There were also photos showing bruises on his hands during that time, leading to speculation about his overall health.

Clarifications on Trump’s Condition

Levitt noted that the swelling in Trump’s legs was identified as a “benign, common condition,” often seen in individuals over 70, while the bruises were attributed to “frequent handshakes and aspirin use.”

In a memo to Levitt, Trump’s physician, Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbavera, described the October visit as part of an ongoing healthcare plan. This plan included “advanced imaging, laboratory tests, and preventive health assessments by a multidisciplinary team.”

Barbavera reiterated that Trump continues to be in excellent health, showcasing strong performance in areas such as cardiovascular and physical health.

Upcoming Engagements

Levitt shared that President Trump is set to host a dinner later that evening, which might have media access. This could give reporters a chance to observe Trump’s health directly.

“I think you’ll see for yourself later tonight as he opens his dinner to the press,” she stated, noting that he might also sign a federal government reopening bill during the event.
