Trump’s Major Attractive Bill Is an ‘Insult’

Sen. Rand Paul Critiques Trump’s Spending Approach

On Thursday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) expressed his views on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” describing President Donald Trump’s presidency as a “face slap” for conservatives interested in decreasing government spending.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt mentioned a significant bill, prompting her to note that Sean Hannity had questioned the president about the debt ceiling. She encouraged viewers to listen in.

Trump commented, “I believe many Democrats will have to vote for the bill. If it passes, it will introduce a provision that could reduce prescription drug prices by 50-90%. We’ve got this vote coming up.”

Earhardt then asked, “Senator, what does this bill require your review on?”

Paul responded, “The issue at hand is that conservatives like me are being asked to approve a $5 trillion increase in the debt ceiling. That’s unprecedented. Nobody has ever raised their debt quite like that. So, where do we stand on cuts and other reforms?”
