According to bookmaker Polymarket, the odds of Donald Trump winning Michigan have increased.
Kamala Harris still holds a slight edge, 52% to 48%, but this is much closer than last week's 67% to 34%.
Former President Donald Trump's chances of defeating Vice President Kamala Harris have improved significantly in Michigan over the past week, according to bookmakers.
On Friday, the odds of Trump winning Michigan's presidential election increased by 14 percentage points, according to online betting platform Polymarket. Michigan is considered one of at least seven battleground states that could decide the presidential seat on November 5th.
The poll still had Harris as the favorite in Michigan, 52% to 48%, but the Democratic nominee's lead over the Republican was 67% as of September 27, just a week ago. The percentage difference has shrunk to 34%.
Newsweek reached out to the Trump and Harris campaigns for comment via email on Friday.
Donald Trump is currently polling better in Michigan than he was in both 2016 and 2020, according to RCP averages.
