Trump's political team forms a PAC to remove Rep. Massie from Congress in 2026.

President Donald Trump’s political team has established a Political Action Committee (PAC) aimed at GOP Rep. Thomas Massy’s congressional seat for the 2026 elections, as reported by Fox News Digital.

Chris Lacivita, a seasoned Republican strategist who co-managed Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, along with Tony Fabrizio, a key pollster, will lead this “Kentucky PAC.”

This initiative marks the first time Trump’s campaign has directly targeted sitting Republicans via a Super PAC, reflecting a new strategy designed to hold Congressional Republicans accountable for impeding Trump’s legislative plans.

The news was initially reported by Axios on Sunday evening.

Massy has emerged as a significant voice among Republicans willing to question Trump’s authority regarding actions against Iran as the president contemplated military strikes on nuclear facilities. After Trump announced a successful operation against three Iranian sites last Saturday, Massy countered by stating, “this is not the constitution.”

On social media, he expressed feeling “misunderstood” by Trump, particularly in light of decisions that might lead the U.S. into further conflict.

Lacivita’s response hinted at readiness to confront Massy and those in the Republican party who undermine the president.

Massy has been in Congress since 2012, representing Kentucky’s 4th district, and stands out as one of the few Republicans openly opposed to Trump on various issues, including government spending and military interventions.

Recently, Republicans collaborated with Democrats in an effort to prevent Trump from engaging Iran militarily without Congressional approval, emphasizing that only Congress holds the power to declare war.

Massy articulated his concerns about Trump’s alignment with neoconservatives and the potential for entering another war, indicating that he feels somewhat sidelined in policy discussions.

Trump has directly criticized Massy on various occasions, suggesting he doesn’t resonate with Trump supporters and has even used Massy’s dissent in campaign fundraising messages.

Massy, one of only two Republicans who opposed a major spending bill aimed at addressing national debt, continues to navigate the complexities of his position—caught between party loyalty and personal convictions.

In a recent post, Trump condemned Massy, suggesting that the MAGA movement should distance itself from him, while indicating there are stronger candidates in the upcoming primary.

As of now, Massy has not responded to inquiries regarding the Kentucky PAC.
