Donald Trump may be many things, but one thing that stands out from the crowd is his unparalleled sense of humor.
The former president showed off his comedic talents while railing against Democrats at the 2024 Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Banquet in New York City, but no one was safe from his wrath. Notably, Kamala Harris did not appear at the rally. This will be the first time since Walter Mondale that both presidential candidates will not attend the dinner.
“Chuck Schumer is here and he looks very dark,” Trump said. “He's looking gloomy. But look on the bright side, Chuck. Given how woke your party is, even if Kamala loses, you'll still be the first female president. There is still a chance.”
Trump also went after Kamala's supporters, especially her very vocal white male supporters.
“There's a group called 'White Dudes for Harris.' Have you ever seen it?” Trump asked the audience. “I'm not worried about them at all because their wives and their wives' lovers are all voting for me. All of those people are voting for me.”
But perhaps one of the best jokes of the night was directed at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Kamala's pick for vice president.
“Unfortunately, Governor Walz himself is not here, but don't worry, I'm going to say he was,” President Trump said, to thunderous applause.
No doubt many liberals were frustrated by Trump's stellar performance, including CNN's Brian Stelter, who said Trump was funny and “had some great jokes in there.” Some people were able to laugh together.

“He's a really funny guy,” Glenn agrees. “And he has no problem making fun of himself. Last night he said: 'I was told I should make a self-deprecating joke, but I couldn't do anything.'
