Trump’s survival highlights the new war on political heretics

in Recent emotional comments“The rabid left is breaking every rule they claim to follow in their bid to stifle Donald Trump,” writes veteran journalist Michael Goodwin, as he catalogues the vicious acts Trump’s enemies have unleashed against him. “The gates of hell were opened,” Goodwin writes, “in the late summer of 2016, when The New York Times decided to abandon its legendary standards of impartiality in an effort to keep Trump from winning the White House.”

President Biden’s proposed “radical reform of the Supreme Court” is aimed at President Trump, who currently stands like a rock against the wind, to the dismay of his powerful opponents, so the ruling elites are seeking to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity and launch yet another legal war against their target.

Trump is speaking the truth when he says his determined enemies are not just targeting him but others as well.

As Biden leaves office with advanced dementia, he, his party and their various media and deep state backers are still looking for ways to torment their hated foe. Goodwin sees the plan as “the latest example of Trump haters using him as an excuse to do things they once said they should never do.”

The hatred and persecution Goodwin documents is certainly real, but such warfare is not unique to Trump. It is the predictable punishment the ruling class here and in the Western world reserves for political heretics. Did J.D. Vance and Ron DeSantis get better treatment from their common enemy than Trump? I see no evidence of this.

Keep in mind that these other “reactionary” figures have not been in the political spotlight as long or as frequently as Trump. Moreover, neither Vance nor DeSantis are yet serious presidential candidates. Despite these differences, the mainstream media and the left in general have bombarded these politicians with accusations of extremism and bigotry. One might suspect that the media’s recent, thorough and systematic attack on Vance as a “weird” misogynist is just the beginning of a nasty assault on this political outcast.

These smears are likely at least partly an attempt to deflect attention from Kamala Harris’ astonishingly radical political record, but it’s also possible that the left is actually trying to teach Vance a lesson for clearly straying from the party line.

Similar smear campaigns have come from left-leaning European media, where political heretics are treated as “extremist” enemies. It should be noted that the European Union has denied Hungarians the right to continue in the organization’s rotating presidency for a variety of ideological violations. In the past, such actions included Hungarians being unwilling to accept immigrants due to their wealth, and not providing LGBTQ+ education to young people. However, Hungarian conservative Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has also Attempted to negotiate an end Any action aimed at influencing the conflict between Russia and Ukraine is being condemned as an outrage aimed at ending Europe’s current democratic movement.

Trump is speaking the truth when he says that his determined enemies are targeting others as well as him. If Trump had not been their constant target, his detractors here and in Europe would be spending more time on other maverick politicians.

Trump’s aggressive speech may offend certain people, but he is certainly not the only internationally prominent populist politician to have been dehumanized in the West. Other proponents of the democratic right, such as Marine Le Pen, Viktor Orbán, and the leader of Germany’s Alternative for Germany, are more consistent and less insulting than Trump. But they can expect to receive similar treatment from those who control European and American politics, and from the media clergy who defend our woke state religion.

What makes Trump different from other presidents is that he survived the horrific ordeal that Goodwin describes. His enemies have hurled every weapon at him. Some virulent Trump haters deny or at least downplay the assassination attempt, but he still stands up to them and calls on us to “Fight, fight!” Of course, there are more sophisticated representatives of populist ideas, but no one has won the presidency with superhuman perseverance like Trump.

What happened to this man should upset us. But do we, the opposition party, have enough resources to change the situation? I would like to believe so, but Scott McConnell’s Dark debate Given Harris’s rising popularity in the run-up to the presidential election and the mainstream media’s success in concealing her terrible past positions, the argument from American conservatives seems very persuasive.

The media is a political superpower and, so far at least, has shown itself willing to do virtually anything to advance her position. [Harris’] The chances that Trump as a candidate would actually gain an advantage in a debate with Harris seem very slim to me.

I would be very surprised if this statement was proven wrong.
