Tua Tagovailoa’s bad night gets worse with disastrous pick-6 against Bills

When it rains, it pours.

of Miami Dolphins They lost by a halftime score of 24-10 against the visiting team on Thursday night. Buffalo BillsPart of the problem for the Dolphins was that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had two interceptions in the first half. While the first wasn't his fault (a pass to receiver Grant DuBose bounced off the receiver's shoulder pad and into a defender's arm), the quarterback bears some responsibility for the second.

Still, Miami had a chance to get back in the game early in the third quarter when their defense forced a Bills punt on their first possession of the second half. A touchdown would have put Miami right back in the game.

Unfortunately, the following happened:

Buffalo pass rusher AJ Epenesa circled the end and made a free run to Tagovailoa on third down and five yards. Under intense pressure, Miami's quarterback tried to simply throw the ball away, but couldn't get close enough for the ball to land safely out of bounds. Instead, the pass found itself in the hands of Bills cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram, who ran 31 yards for a touchdown and the Bills took a 31-10 lead.

Here's another way to look at the play:

Again, when it rains, it pours.
