Tucker Carlson Is Behind Trump’s Nominees

Democratic strategist James Carville argued Tuesday on “The Beat” that media personality Tucker Carlson has the most influence over President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominations.

Carville said, “Steve Bannon isn't driving this. There's one person driving this, I promise you, and it's Tucker Carlson. Tucker is an old friend of mine. What I see is… there is nothing–“

Host Ari Melber asked, “Are you still friends?”

“We haven't talked to each other in a while,” Carville said. “But we were friends. But everything I'm seeing is the same as what I heard backstage in 2002. I get it. Did you? And J.D. Vance, Don Jr., and Kash Patel were Tucker's business partners. I'm just telling you what's out there. And Tucker is 40 times smarter than Steve Bannon. He is 40. Double connected. He's very connected to Elon Musk and everything else. And he's a very intelligent person and shouldn't be underestimated.”

He added, “But I think he has more influence in this administration than Vernon Jordan and all the smart people around him during the Clinton administration.” But Tucker is very, very, very powerful. And Kash Patel's appointment proves that beyond any doubt. ”
