Footage has emerged showing Israeli missiles striking the headquarters of Iran’s state television network during a live broadcast.
This dramatic video coincided with Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz’s declaration that the “mouthpiece of Iranian propaganda and incitement has disappeared.”
Israeli jets targeted the Islamic Broadcasting (IRIB) building in Tehran, causing a female anchor to run through the studio as explosions occurred, as seen in the footage.
As debris filled the screen, the sound of an explosion prompted shouts of “Alahu Akbar,” just before the broadcast cut off.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that it remains uncertain if there were any casualties from the strike.
This attack followed warnings from the Israeli Defense Forces, urging those in the vicinity of the IRIB headquarters to evacuate.
In another video, an IRIB reporter appears injured, blood visible on his hand, while he continues to report with the studio ablaze in the background.
This escalation comes after Iranian missiles reportedly killed at least eight people in Israeli cities, including Haifa.
In response to Israeli warnings, many residents in Tehran fled the capital, fearing further attacks as missile exchanges entered their fourth day.
According to a spokesperson for Iran’s health ministry, the toll on Iran has surpassed 224, with a significant majority of those casualties being civilians.
