Two Charged After Attack on Conservative Journalist During Minneapolis ICE Protest

DOJ Indicates Investigation into Violent Attack on Conservative Journalist Covering Anti-ICE Protest

Two Indicted for Assaulting Turning Point USA Reporter

A federal grand jury has indicted two individuals related to the assault of Savana Hernandez, a reporter for Turning Point USA Frontlines, on April 11. Various sources have confirmed this development.

The incident took place near the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis and was recorded, with footage posted later by a fellow TPUSA journalist on X. Following this, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Harmeet K. Dhillon, expressed her approval, stating simply, “That’s it.” While the specific details of the indictment remain sealed, it’s noteworthy that FOX News has reported on this situation.

Hernandez herself tweeted about the indictment, stating, “A federal grand jury has decided to indict two violent protesters who assaulted me in Minneapolis.” She acknowledged the Department of Justice for taking swift action. Although it’s unclear which of the three suspects will face charges, Hernandez expressed gratitude for the progress made. “Justice is coming,” she added.

Hernandez recounted that she and her father were physically attacked—pushed and punched by a crowd during the protest. Following the incident, she experienced headaches and shoulder stiffness, likely due to being thrown to the ground multiple times.

Footage from April 13 seemingly shows the attack being premeditated. In the video, the father instructs his daughter, a soccer player at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, before blowing a whistle in Hernandez’s ear, a potentially harmful action.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, such noise exposure can lead to damage in the inner ear, resulting in temporary or permanent hearing issues.

As of now, neither Hernandez nor the Justice Department has made public comments on this ongoing situation.
