Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy accused Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) of “duplicity.” Breitbart News Daily While he votes “100%” with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Kamala Harris, he markets himself as a “Bible-believing Republican” in Big Sky Country.
Sheehy and Breitbart News Daily Moderator Mike Slater discussed why Montana Democrats skipped the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
“Well, he can't [show up]”…His party is so far removed from what hard-working Montanans want. He doesn't seem to be within 1,000 miles of Kamala Harris or Tim Walz or whatever it is that they're talking about,” Sheehy said.
That's why Sheehy calls Tester “two-faced.”
“A two-faced tester goes to Washington, D.C., votes 100% for Elizabeth Warren and Harris, every time it matters, then goes home and puts on a Carhartt jacket and acts like a border patrol, Bible-praising Republican, so he doesn't seem affiliated with any local party,” Sheehy said.
“He recruited Kamala Harris to run for Senate in 2015 when he was chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and is responsible for Kamala Harris' emergence onto the national political stage,” Sheehy added.
Tester has refused to endorse Harris' presidential bid, even though he has previously said it was more important for him to get her elected than for her to be re-elected as Montana's senator.
“I'm not going to endorse anyone for president, and I'll tell you why. There are two reasons: I'm focused on my campaign. Secondly, people want to make this a national issue, but this is not a national issue. This is a Montana issue,” Tester said.
Sheehy said Tester “should stop lying to our faces and calling you a Republican. In fact, you know that you owe it to Kamala Harris to be on the world stage.”
