Two Polls Indicate Growing Republican Backing for Trump

Polls Show Trump’s Support Among Republicans Is Growing

Despite the corporate media’s narrative—using a few marginalized podcasters to suggest a growing rift between President Trump and Republican voters—a recent poll indicates the contrary.

It’s easy to forget that social media doesn’t paint the entire picture.

During March and April, a poll from the far-left Quinnipiac revealed that Trump’s approval rating among Republicans rose from 72% to 81%.

In a similar vein, the Economist/YouGov poll reported a boost in Republican support for the president as well. In March, his approval was at 82% with a 14% disapproval rate. Now, these numbers have shifted to 84% approval against 12% disapproval.

Such polls—along with common sense—clearly challenge the media’s doom-and-gloom narratives regarding Trump’s political future.

It’s particularly absurd when these narratives focus on Trump’s long-predicted conflicts with Iran, a topic he’s addressed over two decades as both a candidate and a private citizen.

Anyone with some sense knows there’s no real choice between letting Iran’s radical clerics acquire nuclear weapons or taking military action to stop it. It’s a necessity.

Furthermore, despite media misinformation and right-wing panic, the military engagement in Iran has proven to be a significant success. Republicans realize that 1) the media is misleading about Trump, and 2) the American military has swiftly accomplished its objectives with fewer casualties than anticipated.

It’s no surprise, then, that Republican support for Trump is on the rise. He’s fulfilling his promises and performing effectively.

As the midterm elections approach, it’s crucial for President Trump to solidify his support base. By the time campaigning ramps up after Labor Day, the situation with Iran should ideally be a victorious memory, with the economy thriving and gas prices low.

If these conditions play out, there could be sufficient Republican backing to prevent Democrats from gaining control of the House, especially since they’ve indicated intentions to undermine Trump’s policies and pursue impeachment for various alleged offenses as he re-enters the campaign fray.

At a minimum, retaining control of the U.S. Senate is vital.

However, to achieve this, President Trump must secure and unify his base. So far, he appears to be succeeding, regardless of what the so-called “experts” may claim.
