The U.S. Supreme Court sustained a fatal injury This week the Constitution was botched because people either forgot or didn’t care that the First Amendment is everything.
That is, beginningAfter all, isn’t that what matters? To borrow a legal term, it might even be said to state a “position.”
Can you imagine the level of censorship we should expect in the 19 weeks leading up to the November election?
John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, please follow me: if “We the People” do not have a permanent and clear position to defend the First Amendment, please explain to me the basis on which we can defend it without fear of it being stripped away.
The ACLU Standing to file a lawsuit What is Oklahoma doing about speech? Or the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation’s Standing to file a lawsuit Is Louisiana fighting for freedom of speech? Have you noticed that this is a one-way street? So if you are wondering about this latest Supreme Court perversion of justice, Murthy v. Missouri This is merely a procedural vote, but I want to start by saying that I receive the respect of David French and his never-ending army of blessings of freedom.
Let me explain a bit more. Does anyone remember the marriage lawsuit from 2013? Windsor v. United StatesRemember the reason the Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional? The majority was unanimous, but the main reason the Court ruled against California’s marriage amendment was because, wait, Californians There was no status.
More than 8 million Californians voted for Proposition 8, which defined marriage as the union between one man and one woman — more than any other person in the state’s history has ever voted for a Republican candidate for office, from governor to president — so the issue of “standing” has been a contentious one for quite some time.
This wasn’t just a procedural issue for the current Supreme Court to determine fitness to stand. It was a coward’s escape route for Roberts, Kavanaugh and Barrett, who are now in the same class as failed justices. Plessy v Ferguson, Dred Scottand Roe v. Wade.
This Supreme Court decision makes it clear that it is OK for you to be classified as “Other” if it suits the appropriate powers and sovereign. But who is doing the classification?
In each of the three historical cases mentioned above, the government argued that separate but equal, Dred Scott was property, and that unborn children were not people.
So where does this lead moving forward on vaccines, transgenderism, and anything else the woke terrorists demand? Can you imagine what level of censorship we must prepare for in the 19 weeks leading up to the November election? It doesn’t matter that they were caught red-handed covering up the Hunter Biden laptop story last time and winning. They just got permission to exceed it every day.
So please don’t say I’m overreacting, I’ve written two bestselling books about the COVID scam, the Orwellian motivations of a cabal of governments and Big Tech. Murthy v. MissouriBut now we are being told we must vote Republican to get good judges, in order to give us no say and make censorship strong again, under the guise of injecting a toxic genetic serum into our arms?
Looking back, the pro-life movement egg Honestly, two years ago, Dobbs In exchange for reversal MurthyI think this is very important.
We have been taught that social media is the modern town square and that those who hate you because you dare wake up in the morning and speak an opinion not approved by the state must leave whenever it suits them. I don’t see how we can overreact to this horrible decision. The founding fathers of America dumped tea in the harbor simply because the taxes were too high. For this they would not hesitate to set the whole ship on fire and sink it to the bottom of the ocean.
But it is 2024. Today, I have no choice but to vote for Donald Trump because he disrupts this absurd, lawless status quo. I know full well that Trump is the man who gave us two justices who trampled on the First Amendment. We fought so hard for a man known for his mediocrity, like Kavanaugh, because we saw how disingenuous the attacks against him were upon his confirmation. But he has declared that the season to attack us is on.
Isn’t that shocking?
Sadly, we probably don’t deserve a better fate. Our cultural greed and civic decadence can only last so long before the wheels come off and we find ourselves at the bottom of a cliff. Is that what it means to be “standing”?
I’m sure the kids will understand.
