Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill are finally going to race.
American gold medalist Sprintano Ariles and five-time NFL All-Pro Tyreek Hill head to head in a groundbreaking crossover event that could promise to combine the world of athletics and professional soccer. They are scheduled to face off in the race.
According to peoplethe race will be officially held either in spring or early summer.
And both athletes are already beginning to trade playful barbs on social media.
Famous for his explosive start and multiple world championship titles, Lyles has dominated the scenes that sprinted for years.
“This has been a continuous process for quite some time. I mean, everyone is watching the back and forth on social media,” Hill, 30, told people. In August he said he could beat Lyles in the race.. “I was very stubborn at showing people what real, true speed looks like.”
Lyles, 27, who won 100 metre gold at the 2024 Parisiolm Games, recently called out Hill after winning the fourth consecutive 60 metre final at New Balance's indoor grand prix, and wrote “” I'm holding a sign.Tyreek never could,” it was written on the back of his uniform number.
He made a profile picture for X.
Lyles later wrote on the site: “That's time to finish the discussion.”
Aside from the 2024 honors, Lyles also won several gold medals at the Athletics World Championships for the 100, 200, and 4×100 metre relay.
“I think that speaks to itself,” Lyles added a sign. “Everyone says they will be the fastest in the world, but when that comes to it, you have to be the winner every time, every time I show up at the biggest moment.
“That's why I'm the fastest in the world,” Lyles continued to tell people. “I did it at the Olympics. I do it at the World Championships. I do it wherever I need it. And if I have to go down, if you know, If I beat Tyreek to prove that it's the fastest in the world, it's going to be done.”
