Tyreek Hill gets cryptic on social media as NFL trade rumors swirl

As NFL trade season approaches, rumors are flying and one superstar is making some cryptic comments on social media.

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill added to the fun on Wednesday's X as his name has been floated as a possible trade target amid Miami's struggles without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

“I woke up this morning and saw the trade news and got excited,” Hill wrote on the platform.

Hours after hitting send on the X, Hill was asked about a possible reunion with his former team, the Chiefs, who are in need of a wide receiver, but he expressed a desire to remain in South Florida. According to Joe Shadd of the Palm Beach Post.

There's no way to know what “exciting” trade news Hill was referring to, but he did post a follow-up.

“I love trolling you guys,” he wrote, along with two crying-laughing emojis.

But this week, more specific gossip surfaced about one of his colleagues.

Davante Adams requested a trade from the Raiders on Tuesday, likely piqued Hill's interest, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

“All I can control is this conversation that's happening here. And when this is over, all I can control is what I do next,” Adams said on Tuesday morning's “Up & Adams with In an interview with Kay Adams.

“I'm just going to get up and go do some fun training. That's all I can control.”

Adams has already been linked to the Jets and Saints, both of whom will reunite him with one of his former quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers or Derek Carr.

The Dolphins fell to 1-3 with Monday night's loss to the Titans, leading some to suggest they may part ways with Hill in what appears to be a lost season.

Still, it seems pretty difficult to pry Hill away from Miami despite his recent struggles on the field.

With Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley under center after Tagovailoa went down with a concussion in Week 2, Hill has caught just seven passes for 63 yards over the past two weeks.

Those duds followed a breakout Week 1 in which a healthy Tagovailoa caught seven passes for 130 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown catch.

He has over 1,700 receiving yards and just 119 catches in each of his past two seasons with the Dolphins.
