Tyrell Hatton’s move to LIV Golf produces hilarious yet honest reactions

Tyrell Hatton followed in Jon Rahm’s footsteps and signed with LIV Golf, joining Rahm’s Region XIII team.

The move comes just days before LIV opens its 2024 season in Mayakoba, Mexico, which will coincide with the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Hatton was in the field at Pebble but is expected to withdraw from the Tour’s second signature event of the season to attend LIV.

Interestingly, Rahm targeted Hatton to join his LIV golf team last month, but negotiations stalled as Hatton did not want to jeopardize future Ryder Cup opportunities. Of course, Hatton and Rahm went 2-0-0 as a foursome against Marco Simone last fall, and they combined for 7.5 points for European teams. However, the LIV golfer did not represent his European team.

But with the Great Divide in golf likely coming to an end, eligibility rules for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black will likely change to allow LIV golfers to play. . That includes Hatton, Lahm and Adrian Melonk, who was left out of the squad in Italy.

Nevertheless, that’s a problem for another day in the future.

Still, golf fans and media alike had a hilarious and honest reaction to the news of Hatton leaving for LIV.

Hutton rarely had a calm demeanor on the golf course, often causing emotions when he hit a bad shot. Interestingly, his vitality is more often praised than criticized.

But then some fans spoke out about the deal.
