Tyrese Gibson Faces Arrest Warrant Amid Dog Attack Incident

A lawyer for Tyrese Gibson, known for his role in “Fast & Furious,” has stated that the actor is working through some legal issues related to a warrant for his arrest.

Police Captain Nicole Dwyer mentioned that Gibson was supposed to report to Georgia police by September 26 but reportedly failed to do so.

His attorney, Gabe Banks, emphasized that Gibson is “fully cooperating.” The situation arose after one of Gibson’s Cane Corso Mastiffs was allegedly involved in an attack that resulted in the death of a neighbor’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Dwyer remarked that while the defense claims Gibson is managing his affairs, he has been aware of the warrant for over a week yet hasn’t turned himself in, as requested.

According to reports, the neighbor, Harrison Parker, contacted police on September 18 after discovering that his dog had been killed shortly after being placed in a secure yard. The five-year-old dog was found with serious injuries, including puncture wounds and internal bleeding.

Parker shared his sorrow over the loss, stating, “It’s terrible because I haven’t heard him around. He’s one of the sweetest dogs.” Police are also looking into a YouTube video where Gibson showcases his Cane Corso dogs, in which he reportedly makes remarks about them being aggressive.

A police report noted that at least five dogs were suspected of being loose during the incident. Police executed a search warrant at Gibson’s property on September 22, but neither he nor his dogs were present at the time.

An arrest warrant was issued for alleged animal cruelty after he did not surrender. Banks mentioned that Gibson is even considering re-homing the dog involved in the incident, expressing deep condolences to the family of the deceased dog.

Captain Dwyer reiterated that their primary concern is community safety, especially regarding larger dog breeds, implying that measures might be taken to ensure the safety of the neighborhood.
