In Los Angeles on Sunday, a U-Haul truck drove into a crowd of protesters opposing the Iranian regime, resulting in one injury.
The incident occurred near the federal building in Westwood as demonstrators were gathering.
“Around 3:30 p.m., a U-Haul truck collided with individuals marching along Veterans Avenue close to the Federal Building,” stated the LAPD.
The driver was taken into custody. The only person hit was an adult male, and fortunately, the injuries were not serious.
“Currently, it has been confirmed that one adult male was struck by a passenger vehicle, but there are no serious injuries reported,” the Los Angeles Police Department noted. “An ambulance attended to the individual at the scene. No one was transported for further medical treatment.”
Footage from the scene circulated widely on social media, revealing that the truck displayed a banner with the message, “NO SHAH. NO REGIME. USA: Don’tRepeat 1953. NO MULLAH.”
Another clip captured the driver being assaulted as protesters pulled him from the vehicle.

This weekend, President Trump remarked that the Iranian regime might be overstepping boundaries in its response to protesters, which could warrant U.S. intervention.
“It seems like they’re beginning to do that, and people are dying who shouldn’t be,” he commented. “They are violent. Just calling them leaders doesn’t clarify if they genuinely lead or rule through violence. We are exploring some very strong options and will reach a decision soon.”
Human rights organizations estimate that over 500 protesters have lost their lives in Iran.
“The US-based rights group HRANA has confirmed that at least 490 protesters and 48 security personnel have died during the unrest of the past two weeks, with over 10,600 individuals arrested, according to the latest reports from activists in Iran and internationally,” Reuters stated.
“On Tuesday, President Trump is set to meet with senior advisors to deliberate over options regarding Iran, a US official informed Reuters on Sunday. Options may include military strikes, the deployment of secret cyber weapons, heightened sanctions, and providing online assistance to rebel factions,” the report added.
