U.S. Department of State Advises Americans to 'Be More Cautious' Globally

The State Department has issued a caution to US citizens worldwide following recent airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear sites.

In a press release, the Department of State highlighted global security alerts, pointing out that an ongoing “conflict” between Israel and Iran has caused disruptions to travel. They also indicated the possibility of “demonstrations against American citizens” internationally.

“The conflict between Israel and Iran has resulted in travel disruptions and frequent airspace closures across the Middle East,” the alert noted. “There could be demonstrations aimed at US interests abroad. We advise all US citizens to stay vigilant,” it added.

During a live address on Saturday night, President Donald Trump announced a “massive precision strike” aimed at dismantling three specific nuclear facilities: Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz. He characterized the strike as “an epic military success.”

“I can report to the world tonight that this strike has been an epic military success,” Trump stated. “Iran’s major nuclear enrichment facility has vanished,” he claimed.

In response to the strikes, UN ambassador Amir Sayed Irabani criticized the US for “destroying diplomacy,” stating that Iran would determine the timing of a “proportional response.” Reports suggest:

Iran’s UN ambassador, Amir Saeed Irabani, addressed an emergency UN Security Council meeting, declaring that the US has “chosen to destroy diplomacy” and that Iranian forces would decide on their “proportional response” in terms of timing, nature, and scale. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut was coordinating efforts with Russia.

Trump cautioned that any retaliation from Iran would be met with a more significant force than seen in the recent strikes.

“If Iran retaliates against the United States, it will encounter a much greater force than what was seen tonight. Thank you!” Trump commented in a post regarding the situation.

Prior to the strike on the nuclear facilities, Trump remarked to journalists that “no one knew” about his plans regarding “a potential US attack on Iran’s nuclear sites.”
