U.S. maintains full control over Iranian airspace but is choosing to avoid targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader at this time.

U.S. Declares Control Over Iranian Airspace Amid Ongoing Conflict

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump stated that the U.S. has “complete and total control” over Iranian airspace. This announcement highlights the growing involvement of the United States in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Trump emphasized, “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”

He also directed a warning at Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a follow-up post on Truth Social, stating, “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

In another post, Trump demanded Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

The conflict erupted last Thursday when Israel conducted “preemptive” airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, military leaders, and nuclear scientists, justifying their actions by claiming Iran was close to developing weapons.

Both sides have been engaged in a back-and-forth of airstrikes. Although President Trump had hinted at a possible U.S. entry into the fighting, reports indicate that the current U.S. role is mostly supportive and defensive rather than offensive.

The U.S. has also been increasing its naval presence in the region, with a third Navy destroyer now stationed in the eastern Mediterranean, along with a second aircraft carrier strike group moving toward the Arabian Sea. Reports mention a tanker aircraft that could help refuel Israeli fighter jets.

While the Pentagon insists that the current buildup is defensive, it simultaneously positions the U.S. to launch strikes if Trump decides to take that route.

Furthermore, Trump has ceased efforts to engage Iran in peace talks, having initially sought a nuclear deal.

He commented, “If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have taken the deal that was on the table – Would have saved a lot of lives!!!”
