U.S. prepares for war amid growing tensions that China could invade Taiwan

Daily Mail report The US military is actively preparing for war with China over tensions over Taiwan, a report said, noting that US and Philippine marines have been taking part in bizarre military exercises on a series of small islands in the region.

The exercises, which have included sending teams of Marines out of Chinook helicopters to assess the terrain and even readying unarmed assault rifles, appear to shed light on U.S. military leaders’ views as China threatens to invade Taiwan.

“It really is us or them. … We don’t want a world order in which our enemies are trying to define new norms.”

The report notes that a serious conflict between the US and China could easily escalate into World War III, as both countries possess nuclear weapons capable of easily destroying the planet.

But the underlying tension is between China and Taiwan, which has made it clear it does not want to be part of China, while Chinese President Xi Jinping has voiced his desire to “reunify” the island with mainland China.

But it is unclear if and when the Chinese president will launch an attack against the tiny country.

This potential conflict also raises questions about the future of warfare, given the advent of artificial intelligence.

“Software companies including Palantir and Govini are helping build and modernize cutting-edge military weapons systems. The two companies attended the second National Competitive AI Expo in Washington to showcase their developments to senior military officials,” Blaze News reported last week.

“The way to prevent war with China is to strengthen not only Palantir, but defense tech startups building software-defined weapons systems that will terrorize our adversaries,” said Palantir CEO and co-founder Alex Karp.

Karp said the US needs to stay one step ahead of its military adversaries in the field of AI.

“Our adversaries have a long tradition of not being interested in the rule of law, fairness, human rights, or the battlefield. It’s either us or them, and it’s going to win. … We don’t want a world order in which our adversaries try to define new norms. That would be very bad for the world and especially bad for the United States,” Karp concluded.
