Trump Hosts UFC Stars at the White House

Get ready for an exciting event on the White House South Lawn. President Donald Trump recently welcomed top names from UFC to the Oval Office, gearing up for a special fight celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

Gathered with champions Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira, and Cyril Gane, Trump shared plans to convert the White House grounds into a prime location for the June 14 event—a date that happens to fall on both Flag Day and his birthday.

“On June 14th, we’re in for a massive battle,” the President said, unveiling a visual of the planned fight stage. He noted, “This has never happened before, and it won’t happen again. The best fighters will be here. This will be the greatest show on the planet.”

The fight card will feature a lightweight matchup between Topuria and Gaethje, while Pereira and Gane are set for a heavyweight bout.

During the meeting, Trump praised the toughness of the fighters, stating, “No one in sports is as tough as these guys. Alex Pereira has knocked out plenty of opponents, and Ilia Topuria is just as fierce.” There was a palpable respect in the room, with Topuria expressing gratitude for the chance to be in the Oval Office, exclaiming, “It’s going to be amazing to experience this!”

Trump humorously suggested he might have the wrong image, prompting laughter. When Topuria asked why Gaethje would want such a tough challenge, Gaethje responded, “Because he knows that’s what I want,” to which Trump replied, “I want to give you the toughest test, right? What are your chances?” Topuria confidently stated, “I completely believe it, 100%,” and hoped Gaethje shared that faith.

Pereira also conveyed his appreciation, noting the event’s significance and how special it will feel for everyone involved.

Justin Gaethje took a moment to acknowledge Trump’s historical support for the UFC, saying, “Many don’t realize the role you played in bringing the UFC to the mainstream. Today being your birthday and Flag Day makes it even more special. You’ve helped us immensely.” He credited Trump for being a president willing to defy convention, a reason he received Gaethje’s vote.

As the world observes its usual politics, the UFC is set to make a memorable statement on such an iconic site.
