UFC fighter and current boxer Jorge Masvidal has explained why the UFC did not allow him to fight online sensation Jake Paul at all.

Masvidal explained that UFC executives had no interest in making Paul any money or enhancing his brand. In fact, the Cuban fighter revealed that UFC president Dana White was sponsoring a boxing match for Paul’s opponent, Mike Tyson.

“They don’t care about that son of a bitch… I can understand why they don’t want me to have a relationship with him and make him notoriety or money. They don’t care about him. [If] Jake runs to me somewhere else, not in the ring or something, we can find it, brother,” he said threateningly.

Masvidal objected to Paul’s suggestion that he could have an MMA bout in PFL, a competing promotion.

“You’re talking PFL and you’re going to do it in MMA? Are you kidding me? You can’t even box. Now, are you going to fight in MMA? I’ll kick your F.” **Remove the kneecap from your fragile body,” said Jorge Masvidal.

Masvidal, 39, also suggested that a $10 million pay cut would be a deal for him and that a fight in another promotion would be completely unrealistic given his relationship with the UFC.

Masvidal said “under no circumstances” will the UFC allow a “top draw” to go to the PFL.

Masvidal and Diaz will box on June 1, 2024. Paul and Tyson will box on June 20, 2024.
