Last weekend, UFC legend Jon “Bones” Jones defended his heavyweight title by defeating Stipe Miocic in the third round with a crushing kick to the ribs, knocking the former heavyweight champion down.
After his win, Jones shocked the audience by performing his iconic Donald dance as the president-elect watched from his usual front-row seat. Adding to the spectacle, several allies accompanied Trump, including Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy, RFK Jr., and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
But the hype is just beginning. Jones then presented the belt to Donald Trump, much to the excitement of UFC fans, before re-entering the Octagon for an equally shocking post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.
“I want to acknowledge Jesus Christ. Let me tell you, I can’t take credit for gifts like this. I owe it all to Him. And now, millions of people around the world I know a lot of people are watching, but I just want to let you all know that Jesus loves you very much,” Jones said.
“Blaze News Tonight” host Jill Savage and Blaze News Editor-in-Chief Matthew Peterson invited Steve Kim, Blaze TV Contributor of “”fearless” on the show to discuss their most notable nights.
Steve says what Jones did in the Octagon on Saturday night is part of a new precedent set after Trump's reelection: athletes “coming out of the closet.”
Repurposing the phrase, Steve said, “After November 5th, athletes will be liberated in many ways when it comes to sharing “their beliefs,'' whether related to culture, religion, or politics. “It seems that there is.”
Mr. Jones spoke candidly about his position on at least two of them within seconds.
“He just hit a grand slam,” Steve praises. “It’s amazing that MAGA is something that people are so proud to publish and display, and I think it’s great to see.”
“A lot of people, whether they admired it or hated it, said it was like a gladiator in the arena going to the emperor,” Peterson said of Jones' presentation of the belt to Trump.
After the incident, one reporter compared President Trump to Julius Caesar.
CNN's Mark Caputo said: “This is some kind of conquering Republican Caesar who walks into the Colosseum and everyone cheers. He's got political gladiators with him.”Trump He added that the president was “sending a message to the Senate.”
“Donald Trump has shown his greatest personality over the past month or so. He has gone from being Adolf Hitler to being Julius Caesar,” Steve laughs.
