UK investigating journalists under NEW ‘Non-Crime’ law

Freedom of speech may be going strong in the US, but Britain is becoming more Orwellian by the day.

British police have not only investigated a writer over a deleted post and a journalist over a tweet he posted in the wake of pro-Palestinian protests, but also arrested a woman for livestreaming 9 for allegedly racist comments. He was sentenced to a month's imprisonment.

“Alison Pearson is a journalist. She has actually just been released by Essex Police. Specifically, a year ago in November, shortly after the October 7th massacre, she was in London attending a pro-Israel event. He was attending the event and mistakenly saw the flag he thought was a Hamas flag, but it turned out to be a Pakistani, Imran Khan. , was carrying the flag of his political party, and she said, “Oh, they hate Jews,'' Winston Marshall tells Dave Rubin on “The Rubin Report.''

Pearson deleted the tweet after the error was pointed out to her, but police continued to investigate her for a year.

“She's being investigated and there's something called a 'non-criminal hate incident,'” Marshall continues, before Rubin interjects, “Orwell would be proud.”

“Compared to what's going on now, Orwell was a moderate,” Marshall argues. “A 'non-criminal hate incident', this is not a real crime. It's when someone perceives you to be spreading hate, and the definition of hate is different in every bloody country.”

“If someone perceives that you are offending someone, they can record it as a non-criminal hate incident, even if you are not the person being offended,” he continued. This week, a 9-year-old boy was arrested by police for calling another classmate a “bad guy,” he added. ”
