Calls for Prince Andrew to Testify Before US Congress
Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister, has stated that the former royal, Prince Andrew, should testify in front of the US Congress regarding his troubling relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This statement came shortly after the recent destruction of millions of documents connected to Epstein, including a controversial photo of Andrew with a woman on the floor.
Starmer emphasized that anyone with relevant information should be willing to share it in whatever manner is required. “You can’t be victim-centered if you’re not ready to do that. Epstein’s victims must come first,” he explained to reporters.
U.S. Representative Suhas Subrahmanyam expressed his intentions to seek answers from Andrew, who is now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, about his conduct in Parliament. He acknowledged that while they lack jurisdiction over him, they would continue to pressure him and anyone with pertinent information to come forward.
Last month, Andrew lost his final royal title. Recently disclosed documents have revealed disturbing new details regarding his and his family’s associations with individuals involved in Epstein’s criminal activities.
According to reports, Andrew claimed that his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, was financially reliant on Epstein for over 15 years. In a 2009 email, she referred to him as “the brother I’ve always wanted,” even after his conviction for child prostitution in Florida.
Despite this loyalty, Epstein shared unflattering images of Ferguson with friends, critiquing her appearance in one of his notes. A collection of photos from the Trump administration illustrated Andrew in compromising positions with a woman at Epstein’s Manhattan home, further complicating his already tarnished reputation.
One particularly disturbing image showed Andrew, appearing red-faced, crouched over a woman on the floor, while another depicted him touching her stomach and hiding his face from the camera. The identity of the woman was redacted by the Department of Justice.
