Controversy Erupts After Bob Bilan’s Remarks on Charlie Kirk

The British punk rap duo Bob Bilan has stirred significant outrage after frontman Bobby Bilan referred to Charlie Kirk as “part of the sh-t” and seemingly celebrated his assassination during a performance in Amsterdam.

Dedicating a song to Kirk, Bobby, whose real name is Pascal Robinson Foster, told the audience, “I would like to dedicate this next to the absolute sh-t of man,” prompting cheers from the crowd.

He continued with a controversial remark, saying, “You’ll be slapped when you chat with sh-t. Take a rest in peace Charlie Kirk, you’re part of sh-t.”

While on stage, Bobby was also asked if there were “snipers in the room,” adding to the charged atmosphere. This took place under the backdrop of a Palestinian flag, with police stationed outside for heightened security.

Following significant backlash, Bobby took to Instagram to clarify that, “Charlie Kirk’s death was not celebrated in yesterday’s show.” He defended himself, claiming he referred to Kirk as “part of sh-t,” but insisted that celebrating his death was a misinterpretation of his words.

Bobby added, “If that’s the case, then go and find something to prove that we are celebrating his death. You’re not going to find it because it didn’t happen.”

Club Paradiso also issued a statement supporting the group’s “artistic freedom,” emphasizing the role of music in expressing raw anger and social injustices.

This incident is not the first time Bob Bilan has faced controversy. Earlier this year at Glastonbury, he led chants like “Free, Free Palestine” and “Death, Death to IDF,” which drew condemnation. The BBC had to apologize for airing that performance, with its director labeling it as “anti-Semitism” and “deeply intrusive.”

Recently, a representative for the British Culture Secretary condemned Bobby’s comments from Glastonbury, underscoring the seriousness of the matter. Despite the criticism, Bobby argued that his remarks were neither anti-Semitic nor criminal.

Kirk, a 31-year-old father and founder of Turning Point USA, was tragically shot in the head following a public event. His alleged assailant, Tyler Robinson, was arrested after a lengthy manhunt.
