Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on this week’s “Fox News Sunday” broadcast that House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-Louisiana) aid package, which includes aid to Ukraine, is in line with that of Donald Trump. He said the bill could not have passed the House without the president’s help.
Graham said: “The Ukrainian military has killed about 50% of the Russian military’s fighting force with our support. This is a year of many more. They will have more weapons, but ours… They also want to have a new weapon ATACMS to defeat the bride between Crimea and Russia. They are going to have F-16s. If we pull out of Ukraine for some reason, the idea is that if we abandon Ukraine, the world will be safer.Taiwan is also over.”
He added: “Ukrainians are fighting like tigers. This aid package includes an element of loans. Without Donald Trump, this would not have happened. For us. I want to thank the Speaker of the House and Hakeem Jeffries for working together in a bipartisan manner to provide weapons to Ukraine to fight this important battle. President Trump has created a financing component in this package that will affect us in the future. He will give it to you.”
Graham added, “So the idea that you can’t help Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan at the same time, I reject that. I completely reject that.”
