The Americans did not re-elect President Donald J. Trump to continue Biden Harris' failed policy of “as long as it takes time” for the Ukrainian war. On the contrary, President Trump campaigned to end the killings and resolve the conflict, and received a broad political mandate for this approach.
He has not insisted on reducing Ukraine, but he has insisted on increasing investment in NATO's defense to reduce the burden on the US and effectively block Vladimir Putin from further adventurism in Europe.
It has also not been noticed that Ukrainian President Voldemir Zelensky has allowed himself to be used as a political prop for the Democratic Party over the past three years. He came to Washington for a string of emergency aid pack packed into the bloated Biden spending bill that stacked up unprecedented debt on Americans and threatened the prosperity of the biggest economy on the planet.
Zelenskyy even took part in what was essentially a campaign photoshoot during the general election, when he toured the missile factory with Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro during the general election, which flew to Pennsylvania, a major swing state in September, and didn't invite a single Republican.

As part of his plan to come to a negotiated settlement to the war, President Trump even offered the Ukrainians a mineral right deal that they thought would have made money and made them safer by engaging with the US.
This engagement would have served as an actual deterrent against further Russian attacks that could put Putin at risk as Ukrainian attacks were attacking American assets.
The real reason Trump and Zelensky deal exploded in an oval office
The mineral right trade would also have been a considerable deal for US taxpayers, who had previously had no prospects for the hundreds of millions of dollars of profit they provided to Ukraine during the war, as they were participating in profits from the sale of natural resources in Ukraine.
The US will also become a preferred buyer of these resources, including rare earths and minerals needed for high-tech manufacturing, which are critical to maintaining China's strategic edge. If we can revive it, this deal could be a model for a new approach to America's “soft power” that actually expands our influence and prosperity, distributes charity, and actually expands our influence and prosperity, as was the case with USAID.

President Trump thought that President Zelensky would come to Washington this week to receive the same unquestionable praise and blank checks, despite his previous engagement clearly informing him of a new approach to Ukraine. In Oval Office Press engagement, Zelenskyy appeared to focus on the American commander and have unquestionable support and respect. This was a mistake.

Instead of maintaining disagreements in a closed room, he seriously misunderstood President Trump and Vice President Vance, blew the mineral right trade of the Ukrainian people, causing serious reputational damage to himself in front of Americans. Rather, he offered a simple “thank you” that appeared on his shoulder with a tip and additional request. Zelenskyy might have thought that the fight he chose would make him look like a tough guy, but in fact, such rudeness is not going to love him to taxpayers who violated hundreds of billions of hard-earned dollars in his country and voted for Donald Trump.
We all pray for peace. I hope that President Zelensky will take President Trump to his offer and return to Washington for a debate that will adequately honor him if he is ready to end this war.
