In an event promoted on the fundraising platform ActBlue, actor Hill Harper’s campaign invited donors to a live show on July 11.

A representative for Chappelle told Fox News Digital that the show was no different from others he produces, and that Harper’s campaign, with Chappelle’s approval, had purchased some tickets to resell for his campaign.
The Harper campaign was contacted by Fox News Digital.
A poster for the event said it was being funded by “Harper for Michigan” and would be held at St. Andrew’s Hall.
“We are excited to extend a special invitation to an unforgettable evening with comedy icon Dave Chappelle. Join us for the live show in Detroit on Thursday, July 11th. Doors open at 6pm and the show begins at 7:30pm,” the invitation reads.

Guests can purchase tickets for a “Gold Circle + VIP Reception” that will allow them to attend an event with Harper after the show for up to $3,300, with the cheapest tickets for the event being balcony seats for $250.
Cell phone use is restricted during the performance, a common practice at Chappelle’s shows.
Slotkin, who is considered a leading candidate in the Michigan Democratic primary, is a current House member who flipped a Republican district in a once-battleground state. With the retirement of Michigan Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow, the state’s Senate race is rated as a “Democrat favorite” by independent political handicappers. Cook Political Report.

On the Republican side, former Congressman Mike Rogers, businessman Sandy Pensler and former Congressman Justin Amash are vying for the party’s nomination, with Rogers appearing to have a significant advantage over his opponents, backed by former President Trump and the Republican National Senatorial Committee.

Chappelle has been a vocal advocate for the war in Gaza. Reportedly Speaking at a concert in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, last month, he called it a “genocide.”
Slotkin’s campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment by publication.
