Concerns Raised Over Covid-19 Vaccine Safety
Government officials, media, and pharmaceutical representatives have consistently told the American public that the Covid-19 vaccine is “safe and effective.” However, there have been suggestions to the contrary. Some individuals who raised concerns have faced significant backlash, including losing their jobs due to their stance on the vaccine.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently criticized the US Department of Health and Human Services’ handling of mRNA vaccine approvals, even leading to the revocation of the emergency authorization for the Covid vaccine by the FDA. Dr. Marty McCurry of the FDA commented on a CNN segment that sheds a light on the consequences following the vaccine’s rollout.
On Thursday, McCurry announced that vaccine manufacturers Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax have agreed to conduct clinical trials on healthy individuals during this flu season, aiming for results by May. He raised several questions regarding the necessity of additional vaccinations for children and the actual rate of severe adverse events, such as myocarditis, particularly in young and healthy males.
“We have children who have died from the Covid vaccine,” McCurry emphasized, suggesting that these incidents warrant deeper investigation. He pointed out the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) maintains records of severe reactions, including fatalities.
McCurry expressed that the public deserves transparency, indicating that previous administrations did not adequately release vital information regarding vaccine-related deaths. His agency is currently reviewing autopsy reports and other scientific data related to child vaccination deaths.
The VAERS database has recorded numerous serious reactions among individuals under 29 years old, including death and long-term disabilities related to Covid-19 vaccinations. McCurry indicated that his agency is diligently scrutinizing these cases.
In a recent Senate hearing, Kennedy, who often mocks concerns about vaccines, agreed with Dr. Retsef Levi from the Advisory Committee for Vaccination Practices concerning the serious risks associated with the Covid vaccine, especially among younger populations. McCurry confirmed that young males are indeed at a higher risk for myocarditis, with some studies suggesting rates of this condition can be alarming.
Both McCurry and other researchers have pointed to evidence suggesting that Covid-19 vaccinations may have led to adverse outcomes, necessitating ongoing research into their long-term effects. There’s also mention of a need for better data collection regarding myocarditis since a lack of complete transparency persists within public health channels.
Amid these discussions, the American public remains divided on the vaccine’s safety, and the ongoing investigations might shed more light on these conflicting viewpoints in the future. McCurry has made it clear that, despite the previous approvals, the agency must reassess the safety and efficacy of these vaccines moving forward.
